Courtesy of a Grant for ‘Community Reconnection and Capacity Building’, secured by BICSI Co Ordinator Doris Etheve-Birnie and Sealink’s Simon Mannering, they were able to gift a trip to the Gold Coast Seaworld dock and then onto the ‘Hopo’ (hop on; hop off boat).
The trip started with seeing the mansions on the Nerang River.
Stops included Cavill Ave, HOTA (Home of the Arts), the Broadwater parklands (Australia Fair) and Marina Mirage.
This trip coincided with Volunteers Day 2025 and was the perfect way to thank our hard-working BICSI Team.
The group enjoyed yummy snacks onboard there and back after a shopping spree to Costco.
BICS would like to thank Sealink for a very special day, with special thanks to crew Damian and Amber.
Anyone thinking of fund raising and chartering their own Sealink boat the group would say don’t hesitate … do it, so much fun !!
Two more trips are planned in July and August.
