MINI STORAGE AND SMALL SHOP COMPLEX NEARS COMPLETION
The new mini storage complex on Russell Island is rapidly nearing completion.
The large complex is in its final stages of construction in Fernbrook Avenue and will boast a wide range of storage options.
It is not just mini storage.
There are in fact 24 quite large mini storage units, as well as four shop sites.
These have been specifically designed for small business operation.
The project is being developed by island residents Daniel and Michelle Golin.
Daniel said that the development will be fully completed before the end of October.
“I am already receiving plenty of enquiries.
“And there are island businesses already that require two of the four shops,” Daniel told The Friendly Bay Islander.
As soon as this build is complete, Daniel will start on his next project.
On an adjacent block and fronting Canaipa Point Road, he will be building a seven-unit motel.
Preliminary site preparation has already been carried out.
The design of the motel complex is L-shaped with four units in one section and three units in the other section.
All seven units have separate bathrooms attached, with the three-unit section also boasting outdoor decks.
The motel property is being suitably landscaped via native grasses and plants.
Dan and Michelle are hopeful to have the motel open early in 2024.
