COMMUNITY GARDEN GETS A BUNNINGS BOOST
The Russell Island Community Gardens have recently been given a significant boost, thanks to major retailer, Bunnings.
It really was a case of Christmas coming in July was early for the gardeners at Russell Island Community Garden when a team from Bunnings Victoria Point turned up.
Not only had Bunnings Victoria Point donated soil, manure, mulch, seedlings and general gardening supplies, but their team of gardeners turned up to give the Russell Island Community Garden a winter facelift.
Wonderful Bunnings staff Jo, Simon and Lachy got cracking helping members to plant a massive amount of seedlings.
The effort and contribution was much appreciated by community garden members.
The Russell Island Community Garden is a beautiful area located next door to the Russell Island Community Arts Gallery in the beautiful parkland and sports precinct.
The community garden group holds a working bee on the first and third Sunday each month. New Members and visitors are welcome.
