CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

NEW COMMITTEE BRINGS STABILITY, STRUCTURE AND NEW DIRECTIONS

The Bay Islands Chamber of Commerce is in a strong place for a busy 2025 as a result of its recent annual general meeting.

There have been several changes to the executive which will be about ’sharing the load’ when it comes to growth and development.

President Dan Golin is again at the helm.

He believes the chamber is now is a positive position for a productive 2025 and beyond.

“We now have a positive and talented committee that will see the Chamber well for the coming year ahead.

“The SMB Islands are growing at a spectacular rate and business needs an organisation to represent it that is both strong and capable.

“I believe we now have the executive team to do that,”

Future directions for 2025 include a masterplan and economic study that will provide direction to an array of goals and ambitions.

This is as a result of the early December Annual General meeting.

Joining President Dan Golin are vice presidents Geoff Manu and Ben Connors.

The important roles of secretary and treasurer are Jodie Wright (secretary) and Sue McGrath (treasurer).

It was significant that the annual general meeting was attended by new Redlands MP Rebecca Young and Redland City Council’s Division 5 councillor Shane Rendalls.

Both addressed the meeting offering plans and directions in their respective fields.
