DALPURA BAY VISIT.

BLUE PETER SAILING CRAFT CALL INTO DALPURA BAY FOR VISIT!

The renowned ‘Blue Peter’ sailing team in three open sailing boats visited Macleay Island’s Dalpura Bay recently while enjoying a day’s brilliant winter sailing.

They also called in to collect water and other supplies.

This was part of an adventure sail/camp for school age teenagers to Blaksleys on Minjerribah.

Blue Peter is a youth organisation that imparts the learning of sailing skills, skippering and seamanship though sail training processes.

Young nine year old Elvie Todd took these pictures. She is the granddaughter of Ian and Robbie Kirk of Macleay Island.

Information in regard to Blue Peter’s excellent activities can be found on www.bluepeteraustralia.com

.

They also recently participated at the recent Flinders Day event on Coochiemudlo along with a number of other Macleay Island wooden boats.
