REVAMPS STREET LIBRARY HAS AN ‘UNVEILING’ EVENT

Sense the Joy of Sharing Stories was the theme on Saturday, first of December for the unveiling of the Revamps Street Library with close to 40 people in attendance.

To tie in with the ideas of books & stories a “Snapshots” segment was held with various island residents telling stories of past experiences, places they have been or hobbies they are passionate about. “Well done” goes out to Ivan, Jo, Carol and Ian.

The colourful library is nestled outside the al fresco area of the Revamps Interior Design Studio at 55 Francis Street, where people can relax over a tea or coffee.

It is the second street library for Macleay & along with a matching street sign was built by the Renegades Men’s Shed Team who have also built many of the seats situated around the island.

The libraries help generate a great sense of community and all residents are welcome to use the Revamps Street Library at 55 Francis Road.

Don’t hesitate in participating in this great exchange system of borrowing & donating.
